Introducing the Console Table Croome Court, an exquisite piece belonging to The Met x Eichholtz collection. Drawing inspiration from the delicate ornamentation of a British console table (1765) by the architect Robert Adam (British, 1728–1792) and the craftsman Sefferin Alken (Danish, active 1744, died ca. 1783) for the mansion known as Croome Court in Worcestershire, England, c our table features an antiqued white finish and marble top. Its design evokes the exquisite, almost kinetic energy of Alken's plasterwork, seamlessly blending historical charm with contemporary elegance.
