HISTORICAL ORIGIN
The Corbin Floor Lamp takes its design cues from the Cloisters Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met Cloisters, a space dedicated to medieval art and architecture, opened to the public in Upper Manhattan in 1938. The Cloisters Library houses approximately 15,000 volumes exploring medieval European decorative arts, sculpture, architecture, painting, stained glass, and illuminated manuscripts.
